Advancing Employee Ownership in France
On November 7, 2024, the inaugural conference of Capital Collectif took place, marking the launch of a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting employee ownership in France. The event brought together experts, academics, and industry professionals to explore the challenges, opportunities, and best practices associated with this innovative model of economic participation.
The conference began at 3:15 PM with opening remarks from Dominique Dorchies (Natixis Interépargne) and Jean-Philippe Debas (Equalis Capital). They highlighted the mission of Capital Collectif:
- To stimulate scientific research on employee ownership in France.
- To share knowledge and best practices with companies, particularly SMEs and mid-sized enterprises.
- To train employees and their representatives to manage their investments effectively and take on governance responsibilities.
- To create a platform for collaboration within the employee ownership ecosystem, fostering dialogue with public authorities, social partners, and the media.
The initiative sets a new milestone in the development of employee ownership in France, paving the way for more inclusive and sustainable corporate governance practices.
